Expired coupons still have value!

An expired coupon is such a sad thing.  A tree was cut down, paper was made, ink was used and then "POOF" it is off to the land fill because a little bit of type made it worthless.  Well, here is an opportunity to breath life back into those lost savings and help our military families abroad.  Check out OCP.

What is OCP?

Our program serves military families by assisting you to forward "manufacturer's coupons" to overseas military bases. These bundles of coupons are placed on tables, at the PX/ BX and Commissary, or handed out for use by military members and families on base. This helps the family save valuable dollars and stretch their budget. Your totals are listed at our site.

This is not a tax deductible charity. This is a patriotic charity. You are supporting the service person and their family by sending coupons that you do not use, and all of the extra ones that you can find, to them. The service pay rates are no longer below the poverty level, but they are in no way great when you have a family. Our military service families appreciate your assistance.

Our charity is run at the most, by just a few volunteers and often by just one. We have no donations and no budget. Our volunteers spend a lot of their free time and personal funds to support this worthy cause and care very much about it. Please keep in mind that we also have personal lives that require our attention. At times we may be absent to attend to personal affairs and not get right back to you but we have not abandoned the program. We will be back soon. Please be patient. For information on the program please read the site.

This website will answer almost any question you can think of. We have been doing this and answering questions for over 17 years. Please read through the site carefully. If you still have questions, by all means send them to us.

Thanks for your interest and your support!  AND...here is the link:

Gifting ideas using coupons

Those of us who coupon on a regular basis hate to have a coupon go to waste.  It is almost emotional sometimes when a coupon expires or there is a really good sale that could become a really great discount if you just used the product or knew some one who did.

Well, here are some ideas to help others and avoid that horrible feeling of the death of a coupon.

You have pet foods and/or supplies coupons, but do not have a pet or in our case our pets can't eat the food due to allergies.  If you can afford to make the purchase, your local animal rescue ranch, humane society and similar organizations are grateful for donations and be sure to check with your tax preparer for the added benefit of the purchase being tax deductible.

You have feminine hygiene and/or personal hygiene coupons, but have no need for them.  If you can afford to make the purchase, your local womens shelter would appreciate the donation.  Again, check with the tax guy.

You have baby product coupons, but not a baby in sight!  If you can afford to buy the product, check with the womens shelter, the domestic violence office, foster care agencies and food closets to donate to those who need a hand up.

There are churches and organizations that give baskets to those who need a hand up and most times these baskets do not include items for non-human companions.  Make donations to these organizations with a note explaining why you are donating so they don't think you expect people to eat products made for non-human consumption. And, as always, check with the tax man!

I hope this thought, blog, post, article; whatever you what to call it has far reaching ripples in giving those in need a hand up.

These coupons are accepted under the following conditions:
o The coupon is valid and in date; only one total purchase coupon per transaction.
o Total purchase equals or exceeds $25 before tax (before any coupons are applied).
o Coupons for individual items can also be used including another “48” coupon that is tied to an item in the transaction.
o Provided the total of items purchased is equal to or greater than the purchase requirement, other coupons can be used in conjunction with the total purchase coupon.

Coupons must be valid and in date; Coupons cannot be exchanged for cash.
Register will validate coupon through scanning or keyed entry of the coupon UPC number.
In the event that any item’s selling price is less than the value of the coupon, Rite Aid will accept the coupon in exchange for the selling price of the item.  Coupon redemption can never exceed the selling price of an item and no cash back is allowed.
When making a return for a product that had a coupon attached, Rite Aid cannot refund cash for the value of the coupon and cannot return the coupon that was used.

Raleys Coupon Policy

Raley's stores currently accept company coupons, manufacturer coupons and coupons printed from the internet.

We also accept manufacturers' coupon in addition to our store coupon for the same item as long as the combined amount of the coupons do not exceed the value of the item.

We cannot give cash back if the combined coupons would be higher than the retail of the item.

However, we do not accept competitor's coupons, expired coupons, coupons for product sizes or flavors that our stores do not carry or coupons that are for more than the value of the item.

We currently do not support double-the-coupon value promotions.
